R\u00e9sum\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>

\u00c0 partir d\u2019un corpus iconographique de cent vingt-sept miniatures issues de quatre-vingt-un manuscrits copi\u00e9s et enlumin\u00e9s en France aux XIVe <\/sup>et XVe <\/sup>si\u00e8cles, ce travail de th\u00e8se examine la construction de la figure de \u00ab la dame \u00bb \u00e0 travers les textes, mais aussi par et dans l\u2019image. \u00a0Entre imaginaire et r\u00e9alit\u00e9 historique, il s\u2019agit d\u2019\u00e9tudier la mani\u00e8re dont les repr\u00e9sentations de cette figure id\u00e9alis\u00e9e, lou\u00e9e par les troubadours et les auteurs du Moyen \u00c2ge tardif, influence la vision des rapports sociaux \u00e9labor\u00e9s autour de la femme noble m\u00e9di\u00e9vale. En cela, il appara\u00eet n\u00e9cessaire de distinguer ces entit\u00e9s f\u00e9minines, l\u2019une r\u00e9elle, l\u2019autre id\u00e9elle, toutes deux partageant n\u00e9anmoins certaines similitudes au travers des images. Notre approche iconographique repose sur deux principaux axes\u00a0: les rituels sociaux et l\u2019identit\u00e9. Pour mener \u00e0 bien ce travail, nous utilisons une m\u00e9thodologie d\u2019analyse s\u00e9rielle, telle que la con\u00e7oit J\u00e9r\u00f4me Baschet, attentive aux r\u00e9p\u00e9titions et aux modulations de formules, ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 la singularit\u00e9 des \u0153uvres \u00e9tudi\u00e9es. Cette d\u00e9marche conduit \u00e0 une mise en r\u00e9seau des images, r\u00e9v\u00e9latrice de certains caract\u00e8res formels permettant de mieux d\u00e9finir le statut d\u2019objet, agent ou sujet, octroy\u00e9 \u00e0 la dame au sein des repr\u00e9sentations. La th\u00e8se explore ainsi la place de la dame dans l\u2019imaginaire et la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 chevaleresque, l\u2019approche \u00ab\u00a0courtoise\u00a0\u00bb des rites vassaliques et la question de l\u2019identit\u00e9 du f\u00e9minin d\u00e9sir\u00e9, entre all\u00e9gorie, genre et transgression.<\/p>

Abstract<\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

With a corpus of one hundred and twenty-seven illuminations, from eighty-one manuscripts painted in France in the 14th and 15th centuries, my thesis examines the construction of the lady\u2019s character, through the texts and the imagery.<\/p>

Between imagination and historical reality, we studying how the representations of this idealized figure, praised by troubadours and authors of the late Middle Ages, influence social relationship about the medieval noble woman. It is necessary to distinguish these feminine entities, one real, the other ideal, both sharing some similarities through the images.<\/p>

Our iconographic study is based on two main axes: social rituals and identity. This work uses the serial method of medieval imagery, developped by J\u00e9r\u00f4me Baschet. It considering recurrences and iconographic modulations, as well as the singularity of the illuminations. This method requires a connection between the images, revealing certain gestures and manners to define the lady\u2019s identity as an object or a subject in the representations.<\/p>

The thesis then explores the role of the lady in the imaginary and the chivalrous society, the \u00ab\u00a0courtly\u00a0\u00bb culture of vassalic rites and the identity of this loved character, between allegory, gender and transgression.<\/p>
